This free app is fun and creative (although not necessarily practical, in the ‘useful’ sense of the word). Even if you’re not an intrepid photographer for National Geographic Magazine, this app is a must for photography buffs. With a few taps of your finger you can create your own planet… Or at the very least, turn panoramic or 360° photos stored on your phone into little planet-like looking objects. These are the spherical photos… Hence the name, Spherify. Users can then upload and share their spherified images. It is also possible to flip images vertically, to obtain a slightly different effect, giving a new spin on the photos (if you forgive the pun).
